Riviera Orion Hand Bearing Compass (Yellow)

The Riviera Orion is a slightly larger version of the Mizar and has the additional features of a photoluminescent card and rotating course memory ring.

It is ideal compass for surfing, use on small boats, as emergency compasses or as a personal hand bearing compass.

The card has an apparent diameter of 48mm (1"7/8) and is of a Jewel and pivot type mounting. The card is printed with cardinal points o the upper surface and has 10° graduations around the circumference to allow direct reading.

The compass is impact resistant and is supplied with a lanyard. It has the ability to float, should it be dropped overboard. 

Riviera also produce the Mizar, which is smaller than the Orion and less expensive, but without the additional features of an external rotating course memory ring and photoluminescent card.
